Cunninghams has made a name for itself in the town of Kearney. It’s the place to be for college students and beloved by locals.

Cunninghams has two locations, on the lake and on the bricks. Cunninghams on the Lake is the newest of the two and offers great food and a beautiful view. However, Cunninghams on the Bricks offers the same great aspects and more.

Cunninghams on the Bricks is well known by UNK students as is the perfect place to hang out relax and get some food and drinks with friends. Cunninghams offers two bar areas one on the first floor and another on the second which is a unique aspect to have in Kearney. There are also pool tables and darts available to all customers. Lastly, the beautiful and open outdoor patio is what seems to really draw in UNK students. Especially as the weather gets warmer.

Right off the bat, as I was walking up to the glowing red sign, I already got a sense of the atmosphere that was going to be provided.

As I walked through the door, I saw friends playing pool and laughing. The bar was filled with people eating, drinking, and having a good time.

It was a beautiful day outside so I decided to eat out on their back patio. The patio felt secluded by the tall wooden fencing but felt big and open at the same time. String lights hung from the trees, giving the patio a soft romantic ambiance.

If the atmosphere was not enough, the service was excellent and fast and the food was even better.

The waiter helped me navigate the menu as well as their seasonal drink menu which had many sweet original drinks just in time for spring and summer.

I went ahead and got the chicken bacon ranch pizza which was absolutely delicious. It had a very unique flavor which made it stand out from any other pizza I’ve had. For the drink, I went ahead and got the pineapple mango margarita. The margarita was the perfect blend of fruit, sugar and tequila. The only way it could have been better was if it was a hot summer day in the middle of May.

Overall, Cunninghams on the Bricks had amazing service, food, and drinks and an exceptional atmosphere.
