Is Poppi the new pop replacement?

Poppi: soda that is good for you. It is a perfect blend of fruit juice, apple cider vinegar and inulin prebiotics serving you a deliciously refreshing drink packed with benefits.

The prebiotic soda was first debuted on Shark Tank.

“Poppi is a modern soda for the next generation with a lights-out taste, true functionality,” said Rohan Oza, Shark Tank businessman and investor.

I am not proud to say it, but I have grown up on a pretty unhealthy diet. I love sugar and that is that. I don’t enjoy diet drinks because I believe they taste dry and dull or snacks that are a knockoff or a “healthier version” of the original. I would prefer the calories in good flavor than to make my taste buds suffer simply because it was healthier.

Poppi isn’t any of those things. It is the drink I crave at the end of a long day. The best part is that I’m not left feeling guilty because it’s only five calories with no added sugars. It doesn’t leave me feeling bloated either. I feel like I have done something beneficial for my body and health after I drink a Poppi.

The ingredients are meant to help protect your stomach lining.

“Apple cider vinegar is an effective bacteria killer, improves your immune health, lowers blood sugar, and aids in weight loss, amongst its myriad of other health benefits,” said Mikael Trench from Looper media.

The soda isn’t overly carbonated giving them a distinct taste and flavor. My personal favorites are the fruit flavors. As I mentioned earlier, nothing can compare to the original. Drinking the flavors mocking popular sodas always builds me up to be let down. I would much rather taste something with a unique flavor than a knockoff that will only leave you craving the real thing, defeating its purpose.

The downfall is the cost. It costs about twice as much as a regular soda. The soda is sold singly or in four packs. A single soda costs $2.29 and $8.99 for a four-pack. Not to mention, they are hard to find. Target doesn’t carry a large supply and they always seem to be sold out at the Kearney location.

I even got my roommates stuck on Poppi and now our fridge is always full. They come in 11 flavors: Raspberry Rose, Watermelon, Classic Cola, Grape, Strawberry Lemon, Doc Pop, Cherry Limeade, Orange, Rootbeer, Ginger Lime and Wild Berry.

A lot of creators have also shown their love for the brand. Popular names you may know are Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Billie Eilish, Russell Westbrook, JLo and more.

Poppi has become my new sweet treat that I will never feel guilty about. If you have not had the opportunity to try Poppi yet, I promise you won’t regret it.
