This week, I received my Amazon package containing the TikTok-viral Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask. With the product gaining popularity across social media for its overnight skincare claims, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to test whether the trend lives up to the hype.`
The mask is marketed as an overnight treatment focused on hydration, elasticity and skin tone improvement. According to the product’s clinical testing summary, reported results included improvements in pore appearance, skin texture, radiance and moisture retention, with surface skin moisture increasing by more than 70% and radiance improving by over 50%.
I decided to test the mask during my Sunday evening reset routine. After washing my face and completing the rest of my nighttime routine, I prepared to wear the mask overnight. The application requires some practice. The mask comes in five pieces: a top and bottom section for the face and 3 smaller oval patches that I put under my eyes and on my chin before putting on the top and bottom.
The gel material was fragile as I tried to move it around my face better, and I did end up putting a couple of holes in it with my fingernails. Once I got it on, I took a pair of nail scissors and made slits at my nose, the outer part of my eyes and around the corners of my mouth to have more mobility in the mask.
Once applied, the mask fit comfortably and it immediately started to set into my skin. I got into bed with the hope of it staying on my face and not sticking to my pillow as I am a side sleeper. The worry of me taking it off in my sleep and not knowing it also crossed my mind. From there, I got into bed and fell asleep fairly fast considering the mask, and as I tossed and turned, the mask never stuck to my pillow. I could feel the mask tightening and drying throughout the night.
By morning, the mask had lasted through the night, and I was excited to see the results. The mask had gone from a thick pink gel into a thin, transparent layer, showing absorption as intended.
After removing the mask, I noticed visible brightness and reduced puffiness compared to a typical morning. My skin felt hydrated, smooth and refreshed following my regular morning routine. While I know a single use cannot confirm long-term skincare claims, the immediate effects aligned with the product’s focus on hydration and radiance.
Overall, the Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask delivers a spa-like overnight treatment experience with noticeable results in moisture and glow. Though the application process takes practice due to the fragile gel material, the mask offers a comfortable overnight wear and may appeal to people looking for a weekly skincare reset. Based on this experience, it has earned a place in my Sunday night reset skincare routine and may be worth considering for those curious about viral skincare trends.
