People around the world were left in a state of shock after an entire hour disappeared off the face of the Earth on March 9, in what many have called “Daylight Saving Time.”
“I just can’t believe that it’s gone,” said Jwayne Dohnson, professional wrestler and American actor. “This truly is the greatest loss known to humankind.”
Schedules have been turned upside down with the phenomenon. No one could have foreseen this coming, as it vanished during the dead of night for those in the United States. However, many on the other side of the world could not see or stop the event during the day.
There was a struggle to fix clocks and get orders back in check for all who felt inconvenienced by this disappearing hour. Students of UNK struggled to focus on their courses as their sleep had been affected drastically.
An interview with Naomi Chavez, a UNK student, was underway, but she unfortunately fell asleep. There are no further comments from her.
Businesses ran rampant in trying to get their workers on new schedules, and corporations wondered how this would hurt their profits. The event caused a lot of damage.
Even the personification of time could not wrap his head around what had happened that night.
“I’m speechless,” said Father Time, overseer of the flow of time. “To think an hour would slip under my nose like that. I hope to find it before the end of the year. Perhaps I’ll have it back around November.”
The reassurance from Father Time gave hope that things would be back to normal soon. Unfortunately, all people can do is wait for that hour to return as quickly as possible.
Holiday figures chimed in on how this will affect the upcoming year for their festivities.
“Why this truly is a predicament,” said Santa Claus, gift giver to all. “This could affect how Christmas plays out. I have a list and I need to check it twice. This hour being gone is certainly not nice. HO HO HO!”
The circumstances may be unfortunate, but folks are making do out of a tough situation. Some have already adjusted to the hour being gone.
“Daylight Saving Time” will be remembered as one of the most bizarre events that happened this year.
