Last week, Earl Simmons, better known as DMX, died from a heart attack. It’s believed that the cause of the heart attack was an overdose. DMX has talked about his struggle with addiction throughout the years.
DMX was a very popular American rapper in the 90s and had many billboard hits. He was known for his very unique raspy voice that made his music stand out.
His songs were popular in the 90s and used in modern-day movies. For example, “X gon Give it to Ya” was the theme song of the blockbuster movie “Deadpool.”
DMX was much more than just another American rapper. He was an influence on the younger generation. His songs were the life of the party, and his verses spoke to those going through hard times.
DMX’s Family issued the following statement to the press.
