7-Brew, a franchise coffee shop, has recently made its way into the Kearney community. With different drinks on their menu such as coffee, smoothies, sparkling water and energy drinks, it shouldn’t be hard for visitors to find something they enjoy.
As an avid coffee fan who enjoys getting an occasional drink (they don’t taste as good at home), I was more than ready to review 7-Brew.
After my first few interactions with 7-Brew, I had relatively low expectations of how my experience would go. My anticipation quickly turned to dread as my two previous attempts at getting a coffee led me to an insanely packed drive-through with cars waiting out in the street.
Thankfully, the drive-through line looks busier and more confusing than it actually is.
While there were a decent amount of cars in line, 7-Brew has its drive-through set up similarly to Chick-fil-A’s, as there are two lanes and workers who take orders outside. While this setup looks overwhelming, it isn’t too terrible in person.
There are QR codes outside 7-Brew’s drive-thru that customers can scan for the menu, which I found to be convenient. However, when I scanned it, I was only directed to their website, which is a little bit harder to navigate than a single pdf.
Any drink at 7-Brew can be customized, and there are 29 syrups to choose from that can be used to spice up drinks. Eleven of the syrups and three of the sauces are available in sugar-free, and dairy-free milk options are also available for those who have a preference or allergies.
While I personally have my go-to’s when it comes to coffee places, I can see how their menu could look overwhelming. For those who are typically indecisive, I recommend taking a look at the menu beforehand to view all of the options.
Before my visit, I heard that 7-Brew staff are supposed to be very friendly. The staff I interacted with was friendly, but I didn’t notice anything special. They also wrote the names of the drinks on the cups and added little drawings, which I thought was cute.
I decided to get an iced white chocolate mocha, an iced vanilla latte and two iced 7-energy drinks in the flavors ocean breeze and sunrise. I got all of them in a size small and was pleasantly surprised with their size, which falls on the larger side.
My favorite drink was by far the iced white chocolate mocha. This is my go-to at any coffee place, and 7-Brew’s version quickly became one of my favorites. The taste of the white chocolate is very noticeable, and it is sweet while still maintaining a coffee taste.
The energy drinks were both delicious, though the ocean breeze was a tad bit too sweet for my liking. The iced vanilla latte was my least favorite out of the bunch, as it was a little underwhelming compared to the others. Even though it was my least favorite, it is nowhere near the worst coffee I have purchased before.
Because I wasn’t able to get my receipt, I don’t know how much each drink cost, but for four drinks, I spent $22 in total, which isn’t terrible.
I believe 7-Brew is a nice, affordable option for coffee fans, and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new place to try. While there is no shortage of coffee places in Kearney, the wide variety of drinks available makes this one of my new go-to spots for drinks. I give 7-Brew a rating of four out of five Loper stars, and I will definitely be back soon to discover more drinks.
