I have listened to podcasts here and there, mostly when one of my favorite celebrities was a guest. Recently, I have gotten into more podcasts, and I stumbled upon one named “The Mindset Mentor.”
The podcast is run by a man named Rob Dial. He shares his real-life experiences while advising people of all ages on relatable topics. I can confidently say there is an episode for everyone.
This podcast can be found on popular streaming services like Apple and Spotify. The first episode I listened to was called, “Stop Doing These 7 Things (For A Better Life.) ”After listening to this episode, I immediately wanted to listen to more.
Like much of Generation Z, I do not have a long attention span when it comes to listening. These episodes are anywhere from 15-20 minutes long. This podcast is the perfect length to keep me engaged.
While the main focus of the podcast is mindset, there are many smaller segments it is broken into. When struggling to find a solution to a problem, this podcast will have an answer.
My favorite episode I have watched so far is called, “Why Remembering Death Will Improve Your Life.” It is a topic that a lot of people can relate to. He talks about dealing with death and grief. It was an eye-opening episode.
The point of this podcast is to help individuals better themselves and hopefully allow them to gain some inner peace from whatever hurt needs to be healed. Dial’s words of advice can be exactly what someone needs to hear.
When listening to this podcast it feels like a one-on-one conversation with a friend. Dial is very personable, and when he is talking it feels like he is speaking directly to the listener.
I like to start my day by listening to this podcast while I am getting ready for work. It is a great way to start the day with positive mentoring. Other places I find myself listening to this podcast are on my walks to class and at the gym.
This podcast is a great outlet for college students wanting to better themselves. College can be a difficult time for students mentally and can be draining. This can help put listeners on the right track.
I think what makes this podcast so amazing is that it is real and raw. As the listener, I could tell that Dial means what he says. The passion embodied in this podcast makes it worth the listen.
