The Wiggles have been announced by UNK to headline the upcoming concert.    

Louie the Loper has also been picked for opening act.

“I’m so excited that UNK has decided to bring the musical legends The Wiggles,” said Emely Vasket, a junior from Omaha. “I’ve been a long-time Wiggles fan since childhood. It’s exciting to see my favorite band come to Kearney.”

The Wiggles have recently announced their reunion tour for 2022. They decided to make their audiences 18+ only, UNK being the perfect target audience. It is the third time the group will get together following their disbandment in 2012. 

“We wanted to surprise Lopers and bring in a completely different act,” said Troy Banks, concert producer. “The Wiggles are a perfect fit and will bring Loper’s back to their childhood.”

The Lopers for Wiggles (LAW) are in charge of organizing this concert. Members planned for The Wiggles in an attempt to bring new crowds in. 

“The concert date is still being discussed but The Wiggles are for sure coming,” said Reggie John, LAW coordinator.  

The Wiggles will be a refreshing act for UNK community. Tickets and the concert date will be announced at a later date.
