As campus projects continue across campus, parking availability has suffered due to space reductions as crews have set up around Otto Olsen and the Student Union. The shortage has left many campus residents without permits close to residence halls.
As UNK gears up to begin demolition of Otto Olsen constructed in 1955, Lot 32 north of the building is closed to make room for contractors. A few more steps must be taken before the full demolition process begins.
After hosting a number of programs since its completion in 1955, the Otto C. Olsen building will be demolished early next year. The project follows the completion of Discovery Hall, which now houses many of the programs that once called Otto Olsen home.
