Last week, UNK Communications emailed the weekly COVID-19 update as usual. Aside from the general information copied and pasted onto these emails, some information was buried that pertains to UNK students, faculty and visitors.

A mask mandate began last week for UNK students, faculty, staff and visitors in labs and classrooms. The mandate does not apply to non-classroom settings, and it will end Oct. 6.
UNK students, faculty, staff and visitors will be required to wear face masks when in classrooms and labs, starting Wednesday and ending Oct. 6.

This week’s COVID-19 case count fell to two cases, the campus’s best posting since the beginning of the school year. With this accomplishment, students have earned time to relax and take a deep breath- while keeping our masks on.
