Growing up, I was definitely one of those girls who loved all the shows on Disney Channel. Thinking of Disney Channel instantly makes my mind think of the different actors that drew the Disney logo with magic wands on the screen.
Hannah Montana
The number one show I watched every single day was, of course, “Hannah Montana”. I wanted to be just like her when I grew up. Only one problem — I can’t sing.
The friendships and relationships in “Hannah Montana” were a lot like real life. The characters experienced ups and downs, and none of them were perfect. That is the main thing I appreciated about the show. It’s safe to say I always envied the friendship that Miley had with her best friend Lily, and I always hoped I would find a friendship like that.
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody
Another show that shaped my childhood was “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. It was set in a hotel where kids ran wild and had a fun and memorable childhood. Come on, I know I’m not the only one who watched “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” and dreamed of what it would be like to live in a hotel. I didn’t really relate to “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” as much as I just thought it was a funny show, and I enjoyed watching it.
Wizards of Waverly Place
Finally, I loved watching “Wizards of Waverly Place” on Disney Channel. At some point in my childhood, I thought it would be so cool to have magical powers and do mean things to the kids who picked on me. I’m referring to the kids who bullied anyone and everyone, and sometimes I would fantasize what it would be like to give them a taste of their own medicine.
Everyone remembers various shows from their childhood, but since I grew up in the late 90’s-2000’s, I know that most college students can relate to watching the shows from the list provided. I hope these Disney Channel shows give students a trip down memory lane and provide ideas on what shows to rewatch.
