The Lopers knew that they were in for a big weekend that needed two wins to help them in the postseason race and to help their coach reach a major milestone. They did exactly that, defeating Central Oklahoma 3-1 and Newman 3-0, making it five straight for the Lopers.

An injury-infested UNK women’s soccer squad played tough against two top five MIAA opponents, but mistakes would haunt the Lopers. An own goal in the first minute of overtime against Northwest Missouri State and an early second-half goal by Missouri Western State saw the Lopers fall twice over the weekend at Foster Field.

The Health and Sports Center hosted a prime matchup Feb. 18 as the UNK women’s basketball team in the coaches poll went up against the Central Missouri Jennies. UNK ranked No. 12 in the coaches poll and No. 14 in the media poll heading into the game. The Jennies fended off UNK in a tightly contested game 66-70.
