It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Jack Hoffman, a freshman political science major at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Jack just completed his first semester at UNK, where he made the dean’s list and was a valued member of the Loper community.
Jack was widely known and admired across Nebraska and beyond for his courageous spirit and dedication to raising awareness about childhood cancer through the Team Jack Foundation.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jack’s family, friends and all those whose lives he touched. Jack’s connection to the UNK community, even in his short time here, was meaningful. His impact on our campus and in the broader community will not be forgotten. We are grateful for the time he shared with us.”
Funeral services for Jack will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 18) at the Atkinson Community Center. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday (Jan. 17) at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atkinson.
